Gubu Gubu
Inspired by the traditional Nandiwala folk storytelling tradition of Maharashtra and Karnataka, Gubu Gubu is a delightful one-actor performance that combines humour, music, storytelling and audience interaction.
The story follows Pandu, a hardworking and honest farmer, who is entrusted with cultivating a farm by Saheb, a city banker. After a successful harvest, greed takes over Saheb, and he tries to claim the entire crop for himself. But Pandu's intelligence, farming wisdom and quick thinking turn the tables in an unexpected and entertaining way.
Filled with lively songs, rhythmic storytelling, and the playful presence of a beautifully decorated Nandi, the performance introduces children to the importance of farming, where our food comes from, and the values of honesty, wisdom and fairness.
